FULL STEAM AHEAD!!!

Brothers and Sisters a new dawn is breaking at Algoma Steel.  From 1990 to 2003 the contracts negotiated at Algoma were under the worse conditions imaginable in our industry. During these times the union exercised restraint and in some instances out right gave back.

It is time that we the members of Local 2251 achieve some of the gains that most local unions have been achieving all along.

IT’S TIME FOR MEMBERS OF LU 2251 TO PROSPER

The clearest signal that it is time to move forward, occurred in 2005 ($238 million to shareholders) and again in 2006 ($200 million paid to share holders).  For a total of:

$438 MILLION PAID OUT TO SHAREHOLDERS

We have participated in cost cuts since 1992. The shareholder’s were given $438 million dollars in dividends. The shareholder’s also benefitted through the increase in the value of their shares.

All of the gains made for the shareholder’s and the company was made possible by us, the worker’s of Algoma steel. Now each of us is asked to work even harder and longer to make these huge profits for Algoma.

IT’S OUR TURN!     IT’S OUR TIME!
