RE: General Membership Meeting Summary Report for January 15, 2025
The following notes represent my personal summary of the January General Membership Meeting and ARE NOT OFFICIAL MINUTES. They are for the express purpose of keeping the members informed in a timely fashion. Since minutes must be approved at a subsequent General Membership Meeting, any updates which would require the use of the actual minutes would result in updates being one-month old.
The following was approved at the January meeting:
- Minutes of the December 18th, 2024 meeting
- The financial statement ending December 2024 and the disbursements of $238,113.13. Our receipts were in excess of our disbursements by $39,930.16. This resulted in our General Account being positive by $286,096.70.

The following motions were approved:
1) Motion – Approved a donation of $1000.00 to the Pregnancy Centre.
2) Motion - Approved a donation of $550.00 per month for our General Membership Meetings to be held at the Legion.
President Report
- Mike gave an update on the lawsuit with the Group Health Centre - we are still waiting for the Judge's decision
- Mike stated that we have a draft of Letter of Agreement for the Plat and Strip Mill
- New Director, Kevon Stewart nd Assistant Director, Charlie Scibetta will be meeting with the executive Thursday, January
16th, 2025 at 4:00 pm
The next General Membership Meeting will be held on March 19th, 2025 at the Royal Canadian Legion at 7:30 pm.
