RE: General Membership Meeting Summary Report for January 17th, 2023
The following notes represent my personal summary of the January General Membership Meeting and ARE NOT OFFICIAL MINUTES. They are for the express purpose of keeping the members informed in a timely fashion. Since minutes must be approved at a subsequent General Membership Meeting, any updates which would require the use of the actual minutes would result in updates being one-month old.
The following was approved at the January meeting:
- Minutes of the December 20th, 2023 meeting
- The financial statement ending December 2023 and the disbursements of $281,480.57. Our disbursements were in excess of our receipts by $53,394.88. This resulted in our General Account being positive by $57,560.19.

The following motions were approved:
· 1) Motion – Approve up to $12,000.00 to build a shelving unit in the front office
2) Motion - Approve up to $3,000.00 for a makeup heater in the front office
President's Report
- Mike spoke on the Plate Mill Modernization.
- He stated the meeting was held on December 5th. The Company was to bring a list back to the Union on specific jobs
starting with the sizer. We have not herd anything yet so a reminder was sent today.
- Mike stated that safety arbitrations were ongoing.
- He also spoke about the Contracting Out arbitrations which are also ongoing.
- Mike talked about the upcoming elections for Executive Officers, Trustees, Guides, Guards and Grievance Committee.
The next General Membership Meeting will be held on February 21st, 2024, at the Delta Hotel at 7:30 pm.
