RE: General Membership Meeting Summary Report for March 20th, 2024
The following notes represent my personal summary of the March General Membership Meeting and ARE NOT OFFICIAL MINUTES. They are for the express purpose of keeping the members informed in a timely fashion. Since minutes must be approved at a subsequent General Membership Meeting, any updates which would require the use of the actual minutes would result in updates being one-month old.
The following was approved at the March meeting:
- Minutes of the February 21st, 2024 meeting
- The financial statement ending February 29th, 2024 and the disbursements of $165,532.77. Our receipts were in excess of our disbursements by $27,745.62. This resulted in our General Account being positive by $140,703.27.

The following motions were approved:
· 1) Motion – Approve a donation of $395.00 plus tax to place an ad in the Sault College Handbook for 2024 - 2025
2) Motion - Approve a donation of $220.00 to support Northland Chorus Show to be held on April 6th, 2024
President's Report
- Mike presented the two options that been brought forward by SOTOS (Lawyers hired for the derostering at the GHC)
- Mike also spoke on the canteen water at the Plate and Strip and what correspondence he received from the Company
- Mike stated that he was having a meeting with Ross Romano on Friday, March 22nd, 2024 along with the Presidents of all
Locals Union in Sault Ste Marie.
- He stated that the Election would take place on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 from 5:30 am to 8:30 pm at the Marconi Hall in the
Fogolar Room.
- Mike stated that there would be another rally on May 30th, 2024. Location to be determined.

The next General Membership Meeting will be held on April 17th, 2024 at the Delta Hotel at 7:30 pm.
