RE: General Membership Meeting Summary Report for August 19th, 2026
The following notes represent my personal summary of the August General Membership Meeting and ARE NOT OFFICIAL MINUTES. They are for the express purpose of keeping the members informed in a timely fashion. Since minutes must be approved at a subsequent General Membership Meeting, any updates which would require the use of the actual minutes would result in updates being one-month old.
The following was approved at the August meeting:
- The minutes of the July 15th, 2026 General Membership meeting
- The financial statement ending July 2026 and the disbursements of $97,131.72. Our receipts were in excess of our disbursements by $29,169.76. This resulted in our General Account being positive by $157,268.00.

The following motions were approved:
- No motions this month.
President's Report
- Mike made a report regarding the pension grievance.
- He stated that we did not have any updates on the startup. He also stated that we have no knowledge regarding layoffs, downturn or staffing at this time. We are waiting for more information.
- Health and Safety - Drew Craig is back on Health & Safety, Kevin McCarthy is awaiting his release date and Marvin Joncas is waiting to return to Health & Safety.
- Mike announced that our two new coordinators are : Chris Izydorczyk and Matt Barbeau to replace Sam Taranto (retiring) and Richard Beall (moving to District 6 office to replace Jow Krmpotich).
The next General Membership Meeting will be held on September 16th, 2026 at the Royal Canadian Legion at 7:30 pm.
