RE: General Membership Meeting Summary Report for January 21, 2026
The following notes represent my personal summary of the January General Membership Meeting and ARE NOT OFFICIAL MINUTES. They are for the express purpose of keeping the members informed in a timely fashion. Since minutes must be approved at a subsequent General Membership Meeting, any updates which would require the use of the actual minutes would result in updates being one-month old.
The following was approved at the January meeting:
- Minutes of the December 17th, 2025 meeting
- The financial statement ending December 2025 and the disbursements of $264,464.30. Our disbursements were in excess of our receipts by $73,456.56. This resulted in our General Account being positive by $36,150.96.

The following motions were approved:
1) Motion – Approved a donation of $1000.00 to the Alzheimers Society for Alzheimers Awareness Month.
President's Report
- The Board of Stewards and General Membership were combined because Service Ontario and other agencies made a presentation to the members for assistance with the upcoming layoffs. There will be another presentation at the February meeting starting at 6:30 pm.
- No Good and Welfare at the Stewards Meeting.
The next General Membership Meeting will be held on February 18th, 2026 at the Royal Canadian Legion at 7:30 pm.
