Strike Authorization Vote
Monday, July 4th, 2022
Strike action is the main weapon Unions have against the Employers. The strike authorization given by the membership will force the Employer to continue to negotiate in good faith or give permission to the Union leadership to call for a strike.
To be clear a strike authorization vote is NOT a vote to go on strike, it just puts the Union in a legal strike position.
Special General Membership Meetings to provide Negotiation Update will be held at the GFL Memorial Gardens at 9:30 am, 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
Strike Authorization Vote by secret ballot will take place from 7:30 am to 9:30 pm at the GFL Memorial Gardens on the main floor.
Please get out to support your Negotiating Committee.
