Extension of Contract - July 30, 2022

July 30th, 2022

USW Local 2251 and Algoma Steel have agreed on a 15-day extension to the Collective Agreement. A key issue regarding COLA was addressed which allows the Union to continue negotiating towards our fair share with Algoma.

We are urging all of our members to report to work as scheduled as we have an extension to our Collective Agreement.

The Union wishes to inform all of our volunteers on the Strike Committee who were scheduled to report to the Union offices on Sunday, July 31st should no longer attend as the offices will be closed.

In solidarity,
Your USW Local 2251 Negotiating Committee

Mike Da Prat
Mark Molinaro
Luca Robibaro
Bob Roussain
Marino DeGregorio
Janice Merrick

……….IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO, MAKE SURE THE UNION HAS YOUR CURRENT CONTACT INFORMATION. ……… MONITOR WWW.USW2251.CA FOR ONGOING UPDATES.
